Due to the handcrafted nature of this artwork, each piece will be unique. All photography is done by me with accent lighting or natural sunlight to capture the true colors and beauty as closely as possible – slight color variations may occur in the antiquing process. Each ring is made from a uniquely sourced vintage coin or token. Most have been circulated and may show wear or blemishes. Shape of the ring, meaning straight wall or curved band is largely a factor of the coin size and the required ring size. I try to include photos of both types of appearances where applicable.
METAL SENSITIVITY
We’ve all experienced a green or black finger thanks to a ring at one time or another. People often assume they have a skin allergy. While this can certainly be a reason, it’s not always the case. Depending on what metals were used in making the coin, when made into jewelry it can cause a reaction on your skin, especially in areas where you perspire the most. This effect is different for each person – some are more susceptible to the reaction than others.
Nickel is a frequent culprit that causes discoloration. Our jewelry has a clear sealant applied, but may wear off over time. For best results a monthly application of bees wax should be enough to reduce discoloration. Complete care instructions are included with each ring.
Frequently asked questions
Sizing details
To insure you receive your ring sized correctly for the finger you’ll wear it on it’s important to check your size with a calibrated jewelers ring sizer. Most local jewelry shops are willing to do this for you if you stop by. Also note, fingers may swell at certain times of the day and with various activities or in reaction to your recent diet. I’m happy to resize your ring anytime you’d like, but when you first receive your ring please try it for a few days or a couple weeks before sending it back to be resized. Customer covers shipping and insurance both ways.
Custom and personalized orders

Care instructions
Our hands take quite a beating. It’s best to have a “First off, Last On” process when doing physical work, exercise, cooking or any activity where your hands may come into contact with abrasive surfaces, perspiration, oils or solvents or cooking ingredients.
All of our jewelry comes polished with a micro-crystalline jewelers wax. This should last longer than ordinary wax, but after a few months you may like to apply a thin coating of ordinary wax and buff off with a soft cloth. Other than jewelers wax, beeswax or ordinary carnauba wax can be used. We also sell a line of wax and polishing cloths in our shop.
